“ Casual breakfast and lunch spot in a bustling mall hang out spot, service was great, very attentive, friendly and greeted you when you entered the door. Food was decent, I was craving pancakes and had treated myself to an order, cakes were dry so had to doctor them up with butter and syrup, I also enjoy my eggs over easy and they did come to the table hard. Ordered a smoked salmon Benedict for my partner to go, and flavors were delicious, breakfast potatoes a little dry but all in all a decent place if you are out shopping in the area. ”
“ While in town for the holidays, I visited Buttermilk since I've heard nothing but great things about the place. Since we didn't have a reservation, we did have to wait in the small lobby for about 40 minutes. Standing next to a revolving door in cold temps is never fun. Thankfully, a few seats opened up at the bar area so we decided to dine there instead. Everything on the menu looked appetizing but the Towanda Omelet stood out so I decided on that. I figured you can't go wrong with an omelet made with fried green tomatoes, smoked bacon and jalapeños topped with a remoulade crema! I wanted to add a side of French Toast to my meal but unfortunately, that wasn't an upcharge option so I stuck with toast. The food was served in less than 15 minutes which was impressive seeing how packed the restaurant was. The omelette was delicious! All the flavors paired perfectly together! Our server provided their homemade mixed berry jam for us to try with our toast and it was absolutely amazing! My nephew mentioned how great the Chorizo Gravy & Biscuits were so I told him I'd definitely have to try them when I return. Overall, I had such a pleasant experience at Buttermilk. Our server was awesome and the food was great! When I visit again, I plan on returning to try their other items but I will definitely make a reservation!!! ”
“ Weekend breakfast can be busy, might be a little bit of waiting. We had 6 people at 9am on Saturday and the restaurant is packed. Love their high ceilings and large windows that we can breathe the lovely smell from kitchen, but not too stuffy of the grease. Love their breakfast, so far, tried the omelette, skillets, Bunnies and waffles, all very delicious. Add $2 if you want to share the meal. ”
“ This was our third visit and it has always been great. Buttermilk is always busy but the tables seem to turnover quickly. Our server was bubbly and engaged with us as we provided some feedback. She was professional and checked on us regularly. The food as noted comes in large portions so you definitely are getting your moneys worth but if you can't take it home it seems like a waste. I couldn't come close to finishing mine but that's on me for not reading the full description. The chicken and biscuits I ordered came with sausage gravy, eggs and potatoes. It was good but once it started to cool the consistency was off. Two large biscuits were too much for me and I can usually eat. All in all it's a great breakfast spot to enjoy good food. ”
“ I love going here! It has such a cute theme. The food is so yummy and comforting. Service is also wonderful! ”
“ The speciality coffee was cold- not expecting that. I obviously did not pay attention. It was still good. The three milk French toast was good and there was enough to take home. The biscuits were hard and difficult to cut. The sausage gravy was ok but not great. Maybe next time, we will order the other gravy. It was busy but we were seated right away. ”
“ While Buttermilk is a franchise, it's serving up vibrant, comfort food for Breakfast, Brunch or Lunch! It is a super busy place so, be prepared to wait for a table. However, it is totally worth the wait! Portions are large, great for leftovers the next day. Make sure you order one of their famous Biscuits either buttermilk or honey butter. I get the honey butter which just melts in your mouth and is SOOOOO yummy! Anything you order here is going to be good. Most dishes are served with a LARGE side of their crispy potatoes which are cooked to perfection. The only down side to Buttermilk, it can be hard to carry on a conversation. Industrial ceiling height, open floor plan and lots of Guests competing with one another on who can talk the loudest. Overall, Buttermilk serves up creative, mouth-watering dishes that make every weekend/day feel like a special occasion. ”
“ We made a repeat visit to this popular breakfast spot and I'm afraid my rating will stay at 4 stars. We came a little after opening, it was relatively empty and they sat us in a window booth. They put a little card on the table that listed a time limit: 90 minutes. I feel a lot of that is on the kitchen. I ordered the salt and vinegar skilllet with a buttermilk biscuit. My companion ordered a veggie omelet with a pumpkin praline pumpkin. I should mention that the offerings are varied and sound so tempting. And the portions are enormous. Keep that in mind when you see the prices; my skillet could have fed 4. The first few bites of my skillet were great: it was hot, potatoes were crispy, hot, and slightly vinegary. They had carmelized onions and melted cheese. The salty part - chopped ham and bacon - was good, but after a few bites I realized this was too salty -- and I reached my limit. While this is a nice savory combination in theory, in execution, there was an overwhelming amount of saltiness from the generous chopped ham and bacon. I only ate 1/6 of the skillet. My biscuit, a house specialty, was unfortunately overcooked and crumbly dry and came out about five minutes after our plates arrived. While we arrived early, I did think it took a long time for our food to arrive. We ate quickly, and took most of it to go (enormous portions as I said), so we didn't even approach the 90 min time cutoff and most of that was the kitchen. Although not to my liking, this is a bright, fun and popular place and with interesting and indulgent breakfast options and very generous servings. The wait staff was welcoming and friendly. ”
“ I got the burger and my friend got one of the breakfast skillets. The portions are huge, easily enough for two meals. Both of us enjoyed our meals The service was quick. It's a cutely decorated restaurant and they have several tables outside that are shaded. Its a big parking lot so parking shouldn't be an issue ”
“ First time at Buttermilk yesterday. Here are some of my thoughts: --Everything from the decor to the menu was very well done and screamed "this is a high quality restaurant!" --We started with the buttermilk biscuits--Wow, were they good! If you don't get anything else, try these. They had a light honey taste, sweet without being too sweet--right amount of density. Berry compote is outstanding! --My first time here, so I went with the buttermilk pancakes, with strawberries. The cakes were ginormous! Good vanilla flavor, but overall, not great tasting. I think I just expected them to be great because pancakes should be their specialty, right? It's in the name. Too tough and bland. --I ordered a side of bacon, and although I love bacon, I would not order again--too thin. --In all fairness, they have a good, no, a great menu! I would like to go back and try a half dozen other breakfast entrees : ) --The ambiance and service were outstanding, but be prepared to sit there for a while. It is not a fast food place. We were there over an hour! Highly recommended! ”
